You type in motherless.com and get a blank page, an error, or a “this site has been blocked” notice. It happens more often than you’d think - Motherless is blocked in more countries and on more networks than most mainstream tube sites.
Here’s how to figure out what’s going on and how to fix it.
Why Motherless Gets Blocked
Motherless gets blocked more often than sites like Pornhub or xHamster for a few reasons:
Country-Level Blocks
Governments in several countries have ordered ISPs to block Motherless specifically. This includes:
- UK - blocked under age verification and online safety legislation
- India - ordered blocked by the Department of Telecommunications
- Italy - blocked under AGCOM regulations
- Turkey - broad internet censorship includes Motherless
- Indonesia, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries - government-level adult content filtering
- Several Middle Eastern countries - blanket adult content blocks
These are ISP-level blocks. Your internet provider prevents your device from connecting to motherless.com.
ISP Filtering
Even in countries without government mandates, some ISPs implement their own content filters. These are common on family-oriented plans or default “safe browsing” settings that new accounts start with. You might have one enabled without realizing it.
Workplace and School Networks
Any managed network (office, university, school, library, public WiFi) almost certainly blocks adult sites including Motherless. The network administrator controls what you can access, and adult content is always on the blocklist.
Browser and Device Filters
Some browsers and devices have built-in content filtering:
- Google SafeSearch can hide Motherless from search results (but doesn’t block direct access)
- Apple’s Screen Time can block adult sites device-wide
- Windows Family Safety blocks adult content for managed accounts
- DNS-level filters like CleanBrowsing or OpenDNS FamilyShield block adult sites by default
How to Check: Blocked vs Down
Before trying workarounds, figure out whether Motherless is blocked for you specifically or down for everyone:
- Check a status site. Search “is motherless down” - sites like downdetector.com or isitdown.us will tell you if the site is globally unreachable.
- Try a different network. Switch from WiFi to mobile data (or vice versa). If it works on one but not the other, you have a network-level block.
- Try a different device. If it works on your phone but not your laptop, you have a device-level filter.
- Check the error message. “This site can’t be reached” usually means DNS block. “Access denied” or a branded block page from your ISP means ISP-level filtering. A timeout with no error usually means deeper blocking.
Fix 1: Use FapSearch (Easiest)
FapSearch is an alternative frontend for Motherless. It accesses Motherless’s content library and serves it through its own domain (fapsearch.net). Since blocks target motherless.com specifically, FapSearch works everywhere Motherless doesn’t.
- No installation needed
- No configuration changes
- Works on any device and any browser
- Full access to Motherless content with better search and no ads
This is the fastest fix. If all you want is to access the content, go to FapSearch and you’re done.
Limitation: FapSearch doesn’t support Motherless accounts - you can’t log in, upload, or interact with groups. If you need account features, use one of the methods below to access Motherless directly.
Fix 2: Change Your DNS
Most ISP blocks work by intercepting DNS requests. When you type motherless.com, your device asks your ISP’s DNS server for the IP address - and the ISP returns a block page instead of the real address. Changing your DNS server bypasses this.
Use Cloudflare DNS (Recommended):
On Windows:
- Open Settings > Network & Internet > your connection > DNS server assignment
- Set to Manual
- Enter
1.1.1.1as primary and1.0.0.1as secondary
On Mac:
- System Settings > Network > your connection > Details > DNS
- Remove existing servers, add
1.1.1.1and1.0.0.1
On Android:
- Settings > Network > Private DNS
- Enter
one.one.one.one
On iPhone:
- Settings > Wi-Fi > your network > Configure DNS
- Switch to Manual, add
1.1.1.1and1.0.0.1
Other DNS Options:
| Provider | Primary | Secondary |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | 1.1.1.1 | 1.0.0.1 |
| 8.8.8.8 | 8.8.4.4 | |
| Quad9 | 9.9.9.9 | 149.112.112.112 |
Note: Avoid DNS providers with built-in filtering (like OpenDNS FamilyShield or CleanBrowsing) - they block adult sites by design.
Fix 3: Use a VPN
A VPN encrypts all your traffic and routes it through a server in another country. This bypasses every type of block - DNS, IP-based, deep packet inspection, everything.
How to Use:
- Sign up for a VPN service (NordVPN, Mullvad, ProtonVPN, etc.)
- Install their app on your device
- Connect to a server in a country where Motherless isn’t blocked (US, Netherlands, etc.)
- Access motherless.com normally
Free VPN Options:
- ProtonVPN has a free tier with limited servers
- Windscribe offers 10GB/month free
- WARP by Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 app) - free, fast, but doesn’t let you pick countries
Trade-offs: VPNs cost money (good ones, anyway), can slow down video streaming, and free VPNs often have data caps that make video watching impractical.
Fix 4: Tor Browser
The Tor Browser routes your traffic through multiple encrypted relays, making it effectively impossible to block or trace. It’s free and works everywhere.
How to Use:
- Download Tor Browser from torproject.org (the only legitimate source)
- Install and open it
- Navigate to motherless.com
Trade-offs:
Tor is slow. Video streaming through Tor ranges from painful to impossible depending on the relay you get. It also adds significant latency. Tor is the right tool for anonymity, but for bypassing a simple ISP block, it’s overkill. A DNS change or FapSearch will be faster and easier.
Which Fix Should You Use?
| Situation | Best Fix |
|---|---|
| Just want the content quickly | FapSearch |
| ISP DNS block | Change DNS |
| Deep packet inspection | VPN |
| Workplace/school network | FapSearch or VPN (on mobile data) |
| Need full Motherless account | VPN or DNS change |
| Maximum privacy | Tor |
For most people, FapSearch is the right answer. You get the same content, it works immediately, and it’s actually a better experience than Motherless itself - faster, no ads, better search. The only reason to unblock Motherless directly is if you need account features.
